Claude Rate Limits

Troubleshoot issues related to Claude rate limits

Hitting your Claude plan's rate limit

When you hit a rate limit associated with your Claude subscription, Terragon automatically queues new tasks and messages until your rate limit resets, so that you never lose work. After your rate limit resets, any queued tasks or messages are submitted automatically.

Upgrading your Claude plan after hitting a rate limit

If you upgrade your Claude plan after hitting a rate limit, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect your Claude subscription for your new limits to take effect in Terragon.

Navigate to Settings and scroll to Agent Settings
Click Disconnect under your Claude subscription

Click Connect Your Claude Subscription and follow instructions to complete connecting your Claude subscription

After reconnecting your Claude subscription, your new rate limit will take effect for all new tasks going forward. Your previous plan's rate limit will still be in effect for any tasks that were queued before you reconnected your Claude subscription. However, you can manually resume those tasks.

Manually resuming queued tasks

Click on a task that is queued

Click the pulsing green button in the prompt box at the bottom of the task. This will stop the task.

Type "Continue" into the prompt box and submit the message. This will resume where the agent left off and ensure the task respects your new rate limits going forward.
